BIOGRAPHY
witheyes is the solo project of christopher ives. drawing influence from nature, disonance, broken hearts, poverty, wind, and bands such as, animal collective, led zeppelin, the blow, do make say think, zero 7, fighter pilot, radiohead, mogwai, and the beatles. It tends to have a minimalist, lo-fi, groove to it, mixing between simple analog guitar and fully digital beats. The newest album, created for 09 RPM Challenge is called "let downs and days" and features 8 tracks clocking in at just over 36 minutes. The start of the album brings digital beats, behind sometimes jazzy experimental guiatar, and some occasional, light, neutral-toned vocals. The second half the album builds sharply, experimenting in echoy disonances, and finishes with lo-fi, heart-felt, minimalist guitar. The album is available for free download on divshare.
